See below for Motherless: Part 3 - Karen.
I finally finished my Karen post, but because I did it by finishing an earlier draft, it appears below my most recent post. Please scroll down to find it. Oh yeah - you might want to fix yourself a cup of coffee and a snack first - it's a long one, and I for one needed some sustenance to see me through to the end.

Wow. You've really had some difficult relationships to piece through. I like this trend of yours of writing letters to people who you want to communicate your feelings to. It seems like a good way to have a conversation without being interrupted. LOL!!
But seriously, good for you. I think the majority of us would have decided to just be non-confrontational for as long as possible. Obviously this wasn't an option for you since Karen just wasn't getting any hints! Also, the older I get, the more I realize how precious my personal time is and I don't want to have energy-sinks in my life, particularly ones that can be negative for my children. I've got a crazy sister who is constantly clamoring for attention (in a bad way) so I *kind of* know how it feels to have a taker in your life. (I think she's a little insane, to be honest, but she just tells me that she's constantly "misunderstood" and a "sensitive soul". Riiiiigght). Unfortunately, I haven't confronted her, and so just keep her at arms length as much as possible. Hmmmm....a letter sounds good....
